On Jan. 3, 2022, in the town of Slaughter, Louisiana, the Slaughter Police Department responded to a call at a residence regarding an unresponsive person. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered the body of 36-year-old Lacey Fletcher, covered in feces, emaciated, and quite literally “melted” into the couch she laid upon. It was an absolutely shocking discovery - only made even more horrific when details began to emerge of how this young woman ended up rotting to death on the sofa in her own home.
