McKamey Manor is said to be an "Extreme Haunted Attraction," and "Survival Horror Challenge", according to their website - but some believe it is actually just a straight-up modern-day torture chamber.
Guests who meet seven basic requirements can expect to experience up to eight hours of extreme horror that may include being waterboarded, buried alive or having their heads wrapped in duct tape. With two locations in Tennessee and Alabama and a low voluntary donation entrance fee, some have jumped at the opportunity to experience something so unique, while others have petitioned to have operations suspended due to the severity of the violence they inflict on their guests.
So is McKamey Manor a unique horror experience for adrenaline junkies or is it a modern-day torture chamber?
