The McDonald's Murders: A Plan Gone Horribly Wrong

On 7 May 1992, three men broke into a McDonald’s restaurant in Sydney River, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The initial plan was to rob the restaurant’s safe, hoping to walk away with a big payday. However, things escalated really quickly, changing the plan entirely and leaving 3 dead and one permanently disabled. This was a massacre that shocked Cape Breton and the rest of Canada, proving once again that greed can turn deadly in an instant.
