[00:01:13] I'm back with another true crime story to lull you to sleep or perhaps to give you nightmares.

[00:01:20] In 2014, YouTuber and experienced hiker Kenny Veach who went by the handle snake bit McGee seemingly vanished while looking for a mysterious cave in the Mojave Desert.

[00:01:32] The first time he discovered this cave which was shaped like a perfect letter M, he said his whole body began to vibrate and the feeling only grew stronger as he got closer to the entrance.

[00:01:45] After commenting about this strange cave on a YouTube video, he received a slew of responses from people who thought he was lying.

[00:01:54] On November 10th, Kenny would set out to find this cave once again.

[00:01:59] He was supposed to be bringing with him his video camera so that he could document the whole thing.

[00:02:04] Only this time, Kenny would never return.

[00:02:08] It has been almost 10 years since Kenny Veach set out into the Mojave Desert in search of this M cave never to be seen again.

[00:02:18] And there is no shortage of theories as to what may have happened to him.

[00:02:23] So let's jump right in.

[00:02:26] Kenny Veach was a 47 year old man from Las Vegas at the time of his disappearance.

[00:02:31] Shortly before he vanished, he had left his job working as a coffee company service technician in search of pursuing his lifelong dream as an inventor.

[00:02:41] You see, Kenny was a quirky kind of guy with big picture ideas.

[00:02:46] One of his prized inventions was a toilet paper roll holder which he claimed was a better improved version of the one that many of us currently have in our homes.

[00:02:57] Believing that he had designed something original and ingenious,

[00:03:01] he submitted his idea to Shark Tank.

[00:03:03] The show where aspiring business owners can pitch their ideas to a panel of venture capitalists but he never heard back.

[00:03:11] After leaving his job and not having the success that he had hoped for with his inventions,

[00:03:17] he desperately needed money so he listed as house for sale.

[00:03:21] The home came with a unique condition upon its sale.

[00:03:25] Whoever was to purchase Kenny's home would need to hire him afterwards to take care of the property as well as allow him creative control over the way that the home was decorated.

[00:03:36] Apparently he also had an interest in interior design.

[00:03:39] An odd request that, as you can imagine, turned away most prospective buyers.

[00:03:45] When he wasn't coming up with new ideas and inventions, Kenny loved exploring new places.

[00:03:51] He was an experienced hiker and self-proclaimed adventurer.

[00:03:54] However, sometimes his overconfidence in his abilities would get him into trouble.

[00:03:59] In the past he had admitted to not taking crucial supplies like water or a GPS,

[00:04:06] pointing to his over 20 years of experience in hiking.

[00:04:10] Kenny also had a long time girlfriend who would enjoy hiking with him sometimes.

[00:04:15] In a comment on his YouTube channel she would write, quote,

[00:04:19] Kenny absolutely loved hiking in the desert.

[00:04:22] It was his very, very favorite thing to do.

[00:04:25] We hiked and camped together all over the Nevada desert.

[00:04:29] Sometimes nine hours in a day.

[00:04:32] We found many abandoned mining towns usually referred to as ghost towns by Nevada hikers.

[00:04:38] We explored many caves and mine shafts.

[00:04:42] We were always careful how we explored them, but Kenny was a bit more daring than I was.

[00:04:48] During those more daring adventures, Kenny preferred to go solo.

[00:04:52] He recorded video clips during his hikes and he posted them to his YouTube channel

[00:04:56] where he had built a small following.

[00:04:59] Well, here I am on my hike up here in the mountains north of

[00:05:07] Las Vegas.

[00:05:12] This is a canyon I just walked up and you can't tell, but my truck is way out there by the

[00:05:18] mountain mountains at the very, very end of this valley.

[00:05:21] Kind of like a big canyon.

[00:05:23] On the other side of these mountains, I'll show you in a second

[00:05:26] or is the bombing range, the Nellis Air Force bombing range.

[00:05:31] They do a lot of practice stuff out there.

[00:05:33] This is an old mine and there's a hole here that just goes way down.

[00:05:38] I'll show you that.

[00:05:40] And then the last time I came up here, I hiked up to the top of what they call gas peak

[00:05:46] and I spent the night.

[00:05:47] It was a two-day hike and then I hiked all the way down to another valley over here

[00:05:52] and when past this mountain range you see on my right,

[00:05:54] all the way back out from the flat desert.

[00:05:56] Now, the camera doesn't pick this up very well but it's a long way.

[00:06:01] And I just rump around out here, do some solo hikes and have some fun.

[00:06:07] My mission today is to just do a one-day hike.

[00:06:10] It's about 10 hour hike.

[00:06:12] I get to still go over another ridge and then go all the way down a big crevice.

[00:06:17] It's real narrow and gets kind of scary.

[00:06:20] Beyond enjoying the outdoors, Kenny had an interest in aliens and UFOs which was no surprise as he

[00:06:27] lived just a couple hours away from Area 51.

[00:06:30] He was described as eccentric, yet charming and he enjoyed spending much of his time watching

[00:06:36] YouTube videos about conspiracy theories.

[00:06:39] One of his favorite channels was called Sirius Disclosure which is a group that studies aliens

[00:06:44] with the hope of learning how to communicate and foster a relationship with them.

[00:06:49] It was a comment that he left on one of their videos that would change the trajectory

[00:06:55] of his life forever. On a 16 minute long YouTube video posted by Sirius Disclosure titled

[00:07:01] Sun of an Area 51 Technician, Kenny couldn't help but leave a comment.

[00:07:06] The video featured a story told by the host recalling some of the things that he learned

[00:07:11] from his father growing up.

[00:07:13] As you can assume from the title, his father had worked at Area 51.

[00:07:18] Kenny, who went by the username Snake Bitt McGee left a comment that said quote,

[00:07:24] the Saint Nothing. I am a long distance hiker. One time during one of my hikes out of Nellis

[00:07:30] Air Force Base, I found a hidden cave. He described the alleged cave as being in the shape of a perfect

[00:07:37] capital letter M. Kenny claimed that as he began to enter this cave, his whole body started to

[00:07:44] vibrate. The vibrations only got stronger as he moved closer towards the entrance of the cave.

[00:07:50] He said that he was terrified, so he got out of there as quickly as he could,

[00:07:55] describing it as quote, one of the strangest things that ever happened to me.

[00:08:00] He added,

[00:08:01] I solo hike across mountain tops that most people wouldn't dare go.

[00:08:05] I have been in more caves than I can count.

[00:08:08] I play with rattlesnakes for fun, but this one particular cave was beyond anything.

[00:08:14] I had ever encountered. As is typical with the internet and social media,

[00:08:19] people were generally not very kind in responding to Kenny's comment.

[00:08:24] He was called a liar by some and others demanded proof of the existence of this so-called

[00:08:30] M cave. Kenny agreed because as he so boldly stated, he enters every cave he finds,

[00:08:37] no matter how frightened he is. Because the cave was allegedly located beside a bombing

[00:08:42] range in the Mojave Desert, he should have had every reason to be afraid.

[00:08:48] Over the next few months, he made his plans to revisit the cave again public.

[00:08:53] He continued to respond to the comments on the YouTube video,

[00:08:57] letting people know that he was going to prepare better this time.

[00:09:00] He would bring with him his 9mm gun just in case there was a melt line inside.

[00:09:06] He would also wait for the weather to cool down before enduring the 10-hour hike

[00:09:11] so that he didn't get heat exhaust him. In October 2014, in an effort to prove the critics

[00:09:17] wrong, Kenny headed out to try and find this M cave for a second time. However, this time,

[00:09:23] he decided that he would video record his adventure. Approximately two months before his

[00:09:28] disappearance, he uploaded a video to his YouTube channel titled M cave hike.

[00:09:35] I'm looking for a cave that I found and I didn't have a sidearm when I was here before.

[00:09:41] And something about that cave just spooked me out of all the caves I've ever gone in.

[00:09:46] This one just made my body vibrate, the closer I got to it, the crazier my body felt.

[00:09:51] And I was like, all right, I'm not going to go in there right now but I'm coming back someday

[00:09:55] and I talked to some people on YouTube and I told them hey, I'm coming out here you know

[00:09:59] because they kind of called my hand on it so I don't know if there's going to be anything to it

[00:10:03] but it might be interesting. If I can find it, I got to relocate it and this is a big mountain range

[00:10:09] I'm in and I'm not I'm on foot you know my truck's way out there there's no roads there's no trails

[00:10:16] it's a pretty rough terrain so hopefully I'll find it it's shaped like a big M it's a big cave that

[00:10:23] looks just like a gigantic M and it's about as tall as I am and kind of narrow and it's stuck on

[00:10:29] the side of a mountain so I hope I can find it again and if I do I'm going in there I'm going to

[00:10:35] put on my light and take my gun out and walk in there see if I find anything. So I'm going to hang

[00:10:41] it up and hopefully I'll find that cave, if I find the cave I'm definitely going to set up my

[00:10:46] my tripod over here and I'm going to go check it out so you'll see me with my gun in hand and my

[00:10:52] flashlight and we'll see what happens yeah I don't know if I'll be freaked out like I was last time

[00:10:57] who knows there might have been a mountain line in there and it was just my sixth sense talking to me

[00:11:11] in locating the mysterious cave a second time. In the video he talked about finding several desert

[00:11:17] dwelling creatures like a tortoise and a tranchilla but no sign of the M cave.

[00:15:34] of his claims many called him a liar and pushed him to go back to this mysterious cave just

[00:15:41] to provide evidence that it was real however not all were so insistent others were concerned with

[00:15:47] what he was reporting this was a dangerous area for so many reasons the terrain the weather the

[00:15:54] wildlife the weird vibrations he said yet experienced the close proximity of this cave to area 51

[00:16:02] one ominous comment said quote no do not go back there if you find that cave entrance don't

[00:16:09] go in you won't get out can he would have been wise to listen but he was more determined than ever

[00:16:15] to prove that the m cave was real so on November 14 2014 he planned a third hike to the area of sheep

[00:16:24] mountain where he believed that he would find it he was only supposed to be gone until the following

[00:16:30] day however sadly he would never be heard from again when he didn't return home after three days

[00:16:37] his girlfriend became really concerned and she called the police to file a missing persons report

[00:16:43] finally a search party was organized but it wasn't going to be easy this is a massive desert that

[00:16:49] we're talking about with rocky terrain and extremely hot temperatures investigators would find

[00:16:56] his abandoned vehicle and Kenny's cell phone near the entrance of an old abandoned mine shaft

[00:17:01] they attempted to lower a camera down inside the mine shaft just in case he had fallen through

[00:17:07] but there was no sign of the hiker the trail had gone cold when news broke of Kenny Veech's disappearance

[00:17:15] the internet was rampant with conspiracy theories particularly within the online community that

[00:17:21] Kenny had been a part of the community who liked to explore UFOs and the existence of aliens

[00:17:26] people began to take a closer look at Kenny's claims and how the location of the alleged m cave

[00:17:33] was so close to a possible secret military operation some people believe that Kenny had actually

[00:17:40] uncovered a cave filled with government secrets and he had to be silenced others thought that

[00:17:46] he may have actually encountered aliens themselves as he was exploring an area that was known for

[00:17:52] its heavy UFO activity in 2021 a self-described retired defense intelligence officer who goes by

[00:18:00] the alias and jolly held a news conference at the Lincoln Memorial and she described her own extra

[00:18:07] terrestrial encounter in 2018 she claimed that somewhere deep in the mojave desert is a hidden base

[00:18:14] located inside a mountain and this is where aliens actually live according to her story two

[00:18:21] strangers showed her the tunnels to the base she said it was there that she met two aliens of

[00:18:27] different races and they communicated with her through their consciousness through telepathy

[00:18:34] okay thank you all for coming here to this beautiful setting for one of the most amazing

[00:18:41] announcements i think the planet will hear this is an jolly who's had direct experience with these

[00:18:47] beings they've come to her they've directed her to be here and she's going to deliver a statement

[00:19:18] i had become aware of their presence my legal name is angelia land shulps so about three o'clock

[00:19:29] in the afternoon once on day january 21st 2018

[00:19:35] i entered a tunnel that had been excavated by a man who yes knows how to do it and last whole

[00:19:46] heartedly at the idea that it can't be done that's quite quite amusing

[00:19:55] i entered the tunnel with four people Wayne and trisha and another couple

[00:20:02] who are no longer in contact after a few minutes of walking into this nicely

[00:20:13] nicely excavated tunnel i just have to say that's okay

[00:20:20] there was a light ahead of us and we began walking a little bit quicker

[00:20:28] and when we rounded the quarter there were two different races of beings that were standing there

[00:20:42] there was a gray

[00:20:48] um

[00:20:51] i do not believe

[00:20:58] that he is organic in the way that we understand

[00:21:05] also not a drone in the way that we understand

[00:21:12] but a body that holds a consciousness that interacts

[00:21:22] there were also several other beings that were what we typically now i understand

[00:21:32] Paul in this community the funnamana community

[00:21:37] they were all well over six approaching probably six and a half maybe a little bit taller

[00:21:46] scary toe they would stand out in this crowd we would all notice they had

[00:21:52] fine white hair warm not cool colored a warmish white

[00:21:59] but their skin

[00:22:03] they're radiant they have

[00:22:08] it's nearly alabaster but i don't mean to apply cold or hard

[00:22:16] just beautiful is stunning and makes you want to run your hand across it

[00:22:23] the majavi desert is also home to goat mountain which is the site of many reported aliens

[00:22:28] and UFO sightings so do with that information what you will

[00:22:34] Kenny's girlfriend had an alternate theory which she posted on his youtube channel shortly after

[00:22:40] his disappearance she said i want you to know that i do not think kenny had an accident

[00:22:46] i believe he committed suicide he battled depression for many years and he wouldn't take medication

[00:22:53] or see a doctor he quit his job a little more than a year before he disappeared

[00:22:59] he wanted to see if he could sell his inventions and do what he called cowboy interior design for homes

[00:23:07] he bought his first home five years ago and had an amazing ability of decorating in this style

[00:23:14] he was not successful in getting a business going and was running out of money after a year

[00:23:19] of not working he no longer wanted to work in a job for someone else and as his money decreased

[00:23:26] he became more and more depressed he really did not look for another job

[00:23:32] in early october with seeing his depression increase i said to him you aren't going to pull

[00:23:38] a robin williams on me are you this is when he opened up more about his depression

[00:23:43] and his thoughts much of his life about suicide his father committed suicide when kenny was in his

[00:23:49] early twenties when i asked him the question he answered me with if i decide to do it you will be

[00:23:56] okay because you are good at the law of allowing he asked me what i would think of him if he did it

[00:24:02] he also said if he decided to do it no one will ever find me it would be easy to do something like

[00:24:09] this in our desert with a number of natural caves and mines he could hike many miles in a day

[00:24:15] so there is no telling where or how far he could have hiked during his three day two night solo hike

[00:24:22] when he did not call me after the third day of being gone i called missing persons

[00:24:28] the search for him was started with a couple of days of my call over 30 search and rescue team

[00:24:34] members searched three different times on foot one helicopter flyover was done and there was no

[00:24:41] trace of kenny or any of his camping things they found his car in the area i told them it would be

[00:24:49] they did find his cell phone by the mineshaft in the video the mineshaft was only about a four

[00:24:55] hour hike from his car it is my feeling he left it behind so that he could not be tracked from the

[00:25:02] GPS in it he also did not take his video camera with him on this solo hike it was left in his home

[00:25:10] so he had no intention of filming anything which is completely contrary to what he was saying in

[00:25:16] the youtube video he was telling people that he was going to record himself on video

[00:25:21] finding this m cave and then he was posting it online but currently he had no intention of doing

[00:25:26] that if he didn't actually bring the camera with him so did kenny beat take his own life

[00:25:31] it's possible it's also just as possible that he fell victim to the conditions of the mahabi desert

[00:25:38] which is literally known as the driest place in all of north america with temperatures reaching

[00:25:44] as high as 134 degrees Fahrenheit 58 degrees Celsius one can die from exposure and dehydration

[00:25:52] in a matter of just a few hours if they aren't properly prepared whether you believe kenny died

[00:25:58] by his own hand from the harsh desert elements or was killed to hide a secret alien base the true

[00:26:05] tragedy is that his body has never been found and his friends and family they're no closer to finding

[00:26:12] out what happened to him 10 years later the story of the unexplained disappearance of kenny

[00:26:18] beat remains a mystery and all we are left with are his social media comments and his youtube videos
