I’ve said it before, but Japan is an incredibly safe country overall - but when crimes are committed, they can be particularly horrendous and weird. And the story of Kabu Terauchi is exactly that - horrendous and weird. But not in the way that you would think. Kabu Terauchi would lay out a plan to abduct a young girl while she was walking home from school. He didn’t have any weapons to threaten her, instead, he would use psychological tactics to get her to come with him, and stay with him for two whole years. His reason for the kidnapping will surprise you.
